To
Thread your sling:
Place the rings just below your right shoulder. Let the fabric
drape behind you. Grab the edge closest to your neck and bring
it around front., this is the top edge. Gather the end of the
sling slightly and thread by going under both rings the up
over the top ring and down through the bottom ring. Make sure
that the top edge remains on the left side of the rings. When
adjusting make sure the rings remain near your shoulder for
more comfort.

To
Hold your Baby:
There are many ways to hold your baby in the sling- remember
that when adjusting the sling you can pull on the left side of
the tail to tighten the top, the right side for the bottom.
Always hold baby with one arm while adjusting until the sling
is snug. Spread shoulder cap over your shoulder to distribute
weight.
-
Cradle
Hold- best for newborns:
Making sure to support baby's head- place the baby in the
sling across your chest (head toward the rings is easier).
Pull the tail through the sling until baby is snug. You can
nurse in this position.
-
Cuddle
Hold: This
is great for refluxy babies and those who like to be upright.
Hold baby vertically and slip inside the sling with feet and
legs all the way through. Pull material snug under baby's
bottom and pull on the tail to secure. You can pull the top
edge up over baby's head if you need the support.
-
Kangaroo
Carry: Use
only once baby has enough head strength. Cross baby's legs and
place her with her back to your chest, making sure the bottom
edge of the sling is at least half way up her back, and front
edge is at her armpits. Tighten the tail.
-
Hip
Carry:
Great
for older babies! Place baby through the sling on your hip.
Adjust the bottom edge under her bottom. The top edge can go
over her right shoulder for more stability, or both arms can
go in for a very snug hold (like when baby is napping).
